40 CFR Part 441 · Dental amalgam separators

The separator is installed.
The missing piece is the record.

We remind your team. They take the picture. We keep the record — and your dental service provider hears about it when something needs attention.

What it does

1 · A text or email arrives when an inspection is due, on the schedule your separator's manufacturer actually specifies — not a generic weekly default.

2 · Someone taps the link and takes a photo. No app to install, no password, about two minutes. It works on any phone.

3 · The record is kept with a server timestamp, the name of the person who performed it, and the photograph — the elements 40 CFR 441.50 requires you to retain.

4 · If something is wrong, your service provider is notified the same day, with the photo.

Why the record matters

US dental practices that place or remove amalgam must inspect their separator on the manufacturer's schedule and keep the results — generally for at least three years — along with container replacement, amalgam disposal, and repair documentation. Most practices have the separator. What an inspector asks for is the paperwork.

For dental service companies

If you service dental practices, EPA Compliance Plus gives you a live view of your accounts: what's due, what's overdue, and which practice has a container filling up. A missed inspection is often the first sign of a full container — which is a service visit you'd otherwise find out about late.

Your records stay yours

Viewing, downloading, and exporting records you have already logged remains available to your practice at no charge, permanently — regardless of whether your Bio-Pure product program is active. We keep your compliance history safe, and we will never withhold it from you.

What it costs

EPA Compliance Plus is provided at no software charge as part of an active Bio-Pure evacuation-system product program, arranged through your dental service company. Bio-Pure products are not required by the EPA, and nothing here should be read as suggesting otherwise.

Getting an account

There is no self-signup. Accounts exist only where someone has been given one, because every record here belongs to a named practice and a named dental service company. Who sets you up depends on who you are:

A dental practice

Your dental service company sets you up when they enrol your practice — the same people who look after your amalgam separator. Ask your service rep — or ask us for access and we'll approach them for you. If they don't offer EPA Compliance Plus yet, a request from their own customer is the best reason for them to start.

A dental service company

Bio-Pure Products sets up your company, and from then on you invite your own technicians and enrol your own practices. Nothing goes through us after that. Request an account to start that conversation.

To start either conversation, request access — it takes a minute, and a person reads every one.

Or call (888) 596-6546. We keep our email address off the page to starve the harvesters, so press the button and we'll show it:
